This Site and the service(s) available on this Site are provided to you in accordance with these Terms of Use and such additional terms and conditions informed you on this Site.
 

In addition to other possible parts of this Site, this Site consists of three different service parts, which are (i) Finland Guide, (ii) Search and Book and (iii) Community. Each part may be subject to the additional terms and conditions as informed you on this Site.  
 

(i) Finland Guide. In the Finland Guide, you may navigate through the hierarchy of products grouped according to their categories. You may also view the object's position on the map, get the information how far the product matches your personal profile, rate the object, see ratings of other users and add the object into your Travel Plan. Additionally to the basic object information, which can be seen in the list, you may explore the detailed object information in the detail view. For bookable objects, you may check availability of the object for the selected interval and subsequently go to the appropriate booking engine.

(ii) Travel Planner. In the Travel Planner section, you may search for products according to your criteria, e.g. relevant time interval for accommodations. After search, that includes also check of the availability of bookable objects on external booking systems, the result list of objects, fulfilling your criteria is shown on the page and may be ordered dynamically, e.g. according to your personal preferences as defined in your personal profile. Afterwards, you may go directly to the concrete booking platform and book the selected product.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

You agree that all claims and disputes between MEK and you that arise out of or relate in any way to these Terms of Use and/or your use of this Site will be governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to the principles governing conflicts of any jurisdiction. You agree that you will bring any claims and/or disputes that you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of, the district court of Helsinki, Finland ("Helsingin käräjäoikeus" in Finnish) as the first instance. If you are, however, a user who is a consumer in Finland may, however, submit the claims and/or disputes to the general court of first instance holding jurisdiction in the district where you is domiciled provided, however, that you are domiciled in Finland. MEK reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify and/or discontinue this Site including, but not limited to the service included thereof and/or a portion and/or attribute thereof, and/or the offering of any information, good, content, product, service and/or User Content with or without notice. MEK shall not be liable to you and/or any third party should MEK exercise its right to modify and/or discontinue the Site, including, but not limited to, the service included thereof and/or part of it.

Registration

Registration for this Site is free. For the purpose of the use of this Site you, however, need to create a personal, non-transferrable user account and accept these Terms of Use relating to your use of this Site. You must register and supply all of the requested information correctly. The requested information must also be accurate and current at all times. Miscellaneous

MEK’s failure to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Use will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision in that or any other instance. If, for any reason, any provision of these Terms of Use or portion thereof is rendered invalid and/or unenforceable, the remainder of these Terms of Use will remain in full force and effect and will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible so as to effect the intent of the parties. A court will substitute and/or rewrite any invalid and/or unenforceable term or condition to make such term or condition valid and enforceable. All communications and notices to be made or given pursuant to these Terms of Use and/or this Site will be in the English, Swedish or Finnish language. Any notice required to be given to MEK should be in writing and sent to its registered office at Töölönkatu 11, FI-00100 Helsinki, Finland marked for the attention of Country Portal Management. Any notice to be given to you should be sent by email to the email address provided by you. You consent to receiving communications and notices from MEK at the email address you provide in registering for the Site as amended by you. These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement and supersede any prior agreement between MEK and regarding your use of the Site. MEK may change, add to and/or delete these Terms of Use or any portion thereof from time to time at its sole discretion.

Order of Priority

In the event of any discrepancy between these Terms of Use and the general special terms and conditions relating to www.visitfinland.com site, these Terms of Use shall prevail. For avoidance of doubt the general terms and conditions relating to www.visitfinland.com site shall also apply to this Site. For avoidance of doubt, the special terms and conditions of the Search and Book do not apply to this Site.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

You agree that all claims and disputes between MEK and you that arise out of or relate in any way to these Terms of Use and/or your use of this Site will be governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to the principles governing conflicts of any jurisdiction. You agree that you will bring any claims and/or disputes that you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of, the district court of Helsinki, Finland (“Helsingin käräjäoikeus” in Finnish) as the first instance. If you are, however, a user who is a consumer in Finland may, however, submit the claims and/or disputes to the general court of first instance holding jurisdiction in the district where you is domiciled provided, however, that you are domiciled in Finland. You are a user who is a consumer in Finland shall also be entitled to seek a recommended resolution to the dispute from the Finnish Consumer Complaint Board (“kuluttajavalituslautakunta” in Finnish).
